After much deliberation
and with a heavy heart, we have decided to close the Zippy's Crusade For
Kids Foundation. With Greg's intense work schedule it has
become very hard to plan, organize and host the snowmobile ride in
Old Forge.
Even though it was
only a weekend event, planning took place all year to obtain corporate
sponsorships, sell tickets, gather auction items, ship everything
from North Carolina to New York, and coordinate NASCAR personalities'
schedules to attend.
We considered hiring
administrative personnel, however, we felt that would take away from
the funds we could donate. It has always been our intent to
raise funds that would go directly to children and families in need.
We would like to thank
our past sponsors, event attendees, and those who donated to the
Crusade. We couldn't have done it without you!
