Retaining walls built from ROCKWOOD Classic 6", Classic  8" and ROCKWOOD Legend units can have outside 90° corners that interlock (a special feature of ROCKWOOD  Retaining Walls) with the wall. In order to create the corner, a Classic  or Legend interlocking "corner block" must be made by  splitting the standard unit. The Classic and Legend "corner block"  can easily be made by following these instructions:

Outside 90° Corners:

  1. Turn the unit upside down so the anchor bar is showing.
  2. Use a brick chisel and hammer, split 2-1/2" off each side  of the face at the splitting groove and also break off the tail  of the unit behind the anchor bar.
  3. Install the completed interlocking corner block for  Classic 6" units and Classic 8" units, alternating each course.
